Wayne and Liz first worked together on ‘‘Under the Story Tree‘ (directed by Andrew Breakwell) for Nottingham Playhouse in 2010.

Wayne has been making music professionally since 1998. He has created music for and performed in contemporary dance works, theatre productions and installation pieces for adults and young audiences. This includes work for She Said Jump, Makers Of Imaginary Worlds, Nottingham Playhouse, Theatre Hullabaloo, WinterWalker, Dance United, Darren Ellis Dance and Richard Alston Dance Company.
Wayne’s musical influences reach from experimental contemporary music to folk traditions from many cultures across the world via indie pop, alternative punk and ambient electronica.
He is also a dynamic and experienced dance accompanist and is a staff musician at The Rambert School in London and has worked regularly for London Contemporary Dance School, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and the Richard Alston Dance Company.
Alongside more traditional music composition, Wayne has always been drawn to creating soundscapes: audio work that emphasises or changes the space it occupies through multi-source playback and interactive sound design. In 2021 Wayne received DYCP funding to explore new ways of composing and creating music and sound. He has recently collaborated on several creative play installations that include interactive localised ‘sound pools’ for Theatre Hullabaloo in Darlington and Makers Of Imaginary Worlds in Nottingham.
At the moment he is also studying on the MA in Dance Research for Professional Practitioners at The Rambert School in London.
